NGARE NDARE | Ngare Ndare Forest is a lush green oasis known for its striking turquoise pools at the base of waterfalls. This vital wildlife corridor, linking the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy to Mount Kenya, is home to diverse bird and animal life, including elephants. Located about a 1 hour 15 min drive from Kilima Gardens, be sure to book ahead to ensure a ranger is available.

MOUNT KENYA ANIMAL ORPHANAGE | Head to the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, where endangered mountain bongos are bred and wild animal orphans find shelter. The orphanage focuses on conservation and rehabilitating animals for release back into the wild. Guided by rangers, you can feed and take unforgettable photos with the exotic inhabitants. It's about a 30-minute drive from Kilima Gardens.

CLIMBING WALL | Try climbing or bouldering at the Mount Kenya Climbing Gym just 4 km outside Nanyuki. Join workouts in their gym, have delicious breakfast or lunch at Bara Burritos in the same compound. Climbing fee 700 KSH adults and 500 KSH kids. Open everyday 10 am - 6 pm except for Thursdays 12 am - 8 pm. Approx. 15 min drive from Kilima Gardens.
